We have been quite busy in the last month. On 22nd of June we have organised first ever ECTIVE Automation outside Slovakia. For our debut we have chosen the beautiful neighbor city of Vienna. On a sunny Thursday afternoon we met with developers, project managers, business & finance analysts, CFOs, CTOs from companies such as DHL, Österreichische Post, SPAR, Semperit, Wien Energie, GRAWE and many other.
Our guest keynote speakers – Norbert Prügl and Marc-Joel Fortelny from OMV department of automation presented a case study on Automation strategy: From on-prem to the cloud to a synergetic platform with 2 market-leaders, where they explained their decision behind choosing UiPath and Power Automate along with all the challenges and benefits this cooperation brought.
Another guest keynote speaker was Tanja Stölzl – Head of Finance Process Optimization at Global Blue, who took us on a journey of implementing intelligent automation and the remarkable results they achieved. The presentation taught us How Global Blue quick-started Automation CoE and how Finance was the driver for the RPA initiative.
Octavian Filimon and Robert Thullner presented us the hottest news on UiPath AI solutions and how it can even further supercharge productivity but what caught the most attention was the use of intelligent automation in the UiPath company itself and how they managed to save more than a million work hours over the years.
Finally, our very own Eduard Shlepetskyy delved into advanced CoE checklist. In the interactive presentation we ticked all the boxes to improve from basic across good to advanced. Code standards, framework, reporting and dynamic allocation were most discussed qualities a Center of Excellence should strive to have. We were very happy to realize most of our guests have checked a lot of the boxes and we believe the ones left unchecked will be much more easily reachable after Eduard’s insightful presentation.
We received a lot of positive feedback for which we are truly thankful and based on that feedback we decided to set the date for our next Vienna meetup. This is your reminder to save the date – 28th of September 2023 we are returning to Vienna with even more professional insights on intelligent automation.
We had a great time, met a lot of intelligent automation specialists, seen some of the old friends and made a few new comradeships during coffee breaks, Q&A session and a slot dedicated to networking. The cherry on the top of course being the amazing dinner in Le Meridien restaurant.
Once again, the whole ECTIVE team would like to thank all attendees who managed to find the time to join us and added a piece of puzzle whether it was with an interesting debate or simply with great energy and atmosphere. This is the reason and the driver behind organizing such evenings and as long as the positive feedback is there, we will be also! As it is our core mission, we will be bringing intelligent automation closer to everyone, step by step, workshop after workshop, until everybody is freed from boring robotic work!
